Shannon owned and operated a dress factory. All the supplies were kept in the warehouse on a set of pallet racks in plastic containers that were set on pallets. Her new sales representative just sold a few of their new designer materials to JoAnn’s Fabrics. They wanted thousands of rolls and asked if the company would be holding inventory to support their requirements.
Shannon quickly called the pallet rack company where she procured the set of pallet racks she had on site and requested a quote. She had the space in her warehouse and simply needed to move a few things in order for the crew to come in and assemble the additional pallet racks. She asked the sales representative if they could give her three weeks to clear her area. They were very cooperative and set the date three weeks out.
When the pallet rack company arrived, they installed the additional pallet racks within a day. Shannon’s procurement team already had product on the way so they could make their designer material to ship to JoAnn’s Fabrics.
