It's never been so fun to clean up my own clothes!
This pallet wall has saved the day... and my own sanity. Hooks galore offer a place to hang everything within easy reach. And the feature wall looks kinda cool too!
First, I picked over my stash of reclaimed lumber, gave it a good sanding, and got to work.
I didn't want this to turn out to be fussy and all about measuring so I went with a slap happy 'whatever' style that worked with any sized board.
Here's my sad little 'before' wall. She needs some happy!
I painted out the wall in white to simulate old stye plaster.
Want a great white paint tip? Have the paint store add two drops of their dark brown tint. Your paint still comes out white white but knocks out the blue. It's perfect!
Slap the boards up and screw them down. That's it! No studs, no measuring, and purposeful gaps so you can see that glorious fake plaster.
Not much cutting was needed with this vertical style which worked for me. I had to keep moving... I had clothes to hang after all!
Now this part was fun. I went shopping in the garage and came up with complete junk for hanging apparatus. Purrrrfect.
Don't know what to do with ALL THOSE VINTAGE HANGERS we collect but don't know why? Here you go!
Dear hanger inventor people... this makes SO much more sense. :)
I precisely measured off each 'hook' in millimeters and took a vast amount of time in implementing this technical design.
Not. Bam bam bam done!
Isn't this spool of copper wire fun?!?
And here's the wall fully loaded. I actually LOVE hanging up my clothes now! Who knew all it would take was a junky wall?
My broom likes it too.
It's never been so fun to clean up my own clothes!
I've never been one to 'enjoy' hanging up my own clothes. I mean, isn't that what beds and floors were made for?!? Apparently not... so I came up with another way to make the task effortless AND enjoy a little reclaimed lumber happiness.
Folks, I bring you the all new pallet wardrobe wall! And congrats! You now have more floorspace to sweep. You're welcome...
