Scott Pallets, a division of leading industrial supplies organisation, Scott Group, has announced the acquisition of two Manchester-based pallet businesses, Williams Pallet Services Ltd and Specrite Pallets Ltd.
Williams Pallet Services Ltd, which specialises in reconditioned wood pallets, was sold by joint owners Brian Williams and Tommy Ralph, together with new pallet manufacturer, Specrite Pallets Ltd, which was jointly owned by Brian, Tommy and Billy MacNamara. Williams Pallet Services Ltd has been operating in the Manchester area for a total of thirty years and Specrite Pallets Ltd for the last six years. Both businesses generate a combined turnover in excess of £9 million annually.
Brian, Tommy and Billy, together with seventy employees will remain with the business and be integral to the Scott Group’s plans for growth and investment in the North West.

Lloyds Bank worked closely with the Scott Group on the deal, and Matt Bentley, Lloyds Bank Relationship Director, commented: “I am pleased we were able to support the Scott Group in this acquisition, a hugely exciting development for the business and the latest of over 30 acquisitions we’ve supported them with over the past two decades. This expansion of Scott Group’s North West of England business will boost growth and further enhance the Group’s profitability. ”
