Green is an interesting hue to work with – you probably don't want to use it absolutely everywhere, but when utilized properly, it can do quite a bit to bolster your home's aesthetic. If you've been looking for way to give your space a quick burst of vitality, try working with gree. You may be surprised at what it's capable of! HouseBeautiful has a few tricks to recommend that can help ensure your decorating goes off without a hitch.

If you don't have a lot of experience working with this hue, you may be tempted to start off somewhat safely. A darker, earthier shade could be the best way to do this. It's relatively easy to work with and can help give you a feel of what the color is capable of. Try having your bedroom done up in this color – it's calming and could be just what you've been looking for to change things up a little bit. Add some tasteful art on the wall to complement it and you should be good to go.

On the other end of the spectrum, you could be tempted to go for something a little more contemporary. Green can be modest and somewhat muted, but it can also be loud and joyous – perfect for a child's bedroom! You can even get away with using this color on a piece of modern furniture in the living room. Since your couch will likely serve as the space's visual centerpiece, you may want to spruce it up with textured throw pillows or blankets that complement the color.

Lastly, green works especially well within patterns. It makes for some nice stripes, which you can use either on the wall or on a small piece of décor like an area rug. It's definitely not the kind of color you want to use exclusively, but it can really bolster the look of a room. If you're trying to give your home a new look, green could be exactly what you're looking for. It's surprisingly versatile and can help give you the décor you've been shooting for. You can bet your guests will notice your unique pallet the next time you have them over as well.
