This blog has never said that all wood pallets are unsafe. Just that it’s hard to tell which ones might be OK since many of them are tainted either on purpose with chemicals or by the substances they come into contact with.
The Greenupgrader gives some pretty good advice here. These tips tell you what markings to look for on wood pallets that have been chemically treated. You still need to be careful, though. Even untreated pallets can pick up some pretty nasty stuff, like listeria and salmonella, on their way to your craft project.
