This position will use pallet handling equipment and pallet repair equipment to efficiently repair broken pallets. Pallets will be evaluated based on company standards and repaired to those standards when needed. Emphasis placed on reducing waste, meeting quality standards, and production goals.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Safely and efficiently utilize the pallet repair handling equipment.
• Ability to build stable, well-built pallets for shipment.
• Understanding the pallet components, dimensions, and repair methods used when evaluating and repairing pallets.
• Professional, courteous manner in working with internal customers and outside vendors via telephone and in person.
• Consistently meet established company production and quality level standards.
• Utilize good housekeeping processes.
• Utilize pallet repair processes to minimize damage and other wastes.
• Properly utilize pneumatic tools and sawing machinery as they pertain to the repair of pallets.
Requirements:
• Must be 18 years of age or older to work in this position.
• Sufficient vision and hearing necessary to operate powered equipment safely.
• Ability to safely lift up to 60 pounds repeatedly for loading, unloading and restacking of pallets.
• Must meet minimum requirements on pre-employment testing including a physical exam.
