Nothing like an arcane verbal reference to start a post about wood pallet Do It Yourself (DIY) projects. 23 Skidoo is an early 20th Century phrase that means roughly “being forced to leave quickly.” Wood pallets should never be brought inside but, if they are they should be sent back out ASAP.
Bad DIY projects are sort of like wood pallet fires in that they seem to come in bunches. There have been several new posts and this one on Squidoo is the latest. Let’s say it again: wood pallets are often toxic either through deliberate treatment with pesticides, fungicides and formaldehyde (a carcinogen) or because they have picked up pathogens like Listeria in their travels.
